Lori Mobley Groover Leadership Program

The Lori Mobley Groover Leadership Program is named for a former GATA president, Lori Mobley Groover, and exists to recognize students who show leadership potential and a passion for the athletic training profession that Lori exhibited during her career.  Scholarships are awarded to up to two postgraduate students who are currently enrolled in either a professional masters program or a post certification program.

To be considered for one of the $750 scholarships all students must be enrolled in a school in Georgia.  All applicants must plan to pursue a career in athletic training as their primary career goal.     

Application Requirements:

• Transcript emailed to GATAinfo.Awards@gmail.com.  
• Two recommendation forms completed by certified athletic trainers.

All application materials  (including application, transcript, and recommendation forms) must be submitted by April 12th, 2024 for consideration.  Official transcripts are preferred, but unofficial transcripts are acceptable if necessary to make the deadline.   

All awards are presented at the Honors & Awards Luncheon at the annual meeting of the GATA.
