Responsibilities

• Leadership of the GATA; Officers elected by the GATA membership;
• Provides oversight of all GATA committees.

• Serve as resource for members of their respective GATA regions. 
• Voice concerns of their constituents to the Executive Board and recruit members for the various GATA committees from their members. 
  
• Serve as resource for all GATA Committees
  

• Monitor legislation at the State Capitol that impacts the practice of athletic training in Georgia;
• Liaison between GATA and our lobbyist.

• Serve as a resource for GATA members for solutions regarding reimbursement by insurance companies for athletic training services.

Jim Fox

• Conduct fundraising activities for the Association, including Corporate Partners, Merchandise Sales, etc.

Corporate Partners

• Publicize events related to the practice of athletic training in Georgia to the general public and our members through social media, press releases, and listserve announcements.

Preston Bazemore

• Organize all continuing education efforts sponsored by the GATA, including the Annual Meeting & Symposium, Mini-courses, etc.

• Identify and address issues of concern to the athletic trainers in the secondary school setting.

• Represent GATA on SEATA Secondary School AT Committee
• High School Coverage Directory
  

• Gather nominations for the various honors and awards given by the GATA & NATA; 
• Oversee the GATA Hall of Fame selection process.  

• Identify and address the interests, needs, and concerns of young athletic training professionals 35 and younger
