Lori Mobley Groover Leadership Program
The Lori Mobley Groover Leadership Program is named for a former GATA president, Lori Mobley Groover, and exists to recognize students who show leadership potential and a passion for the athletic training profession that Lori exhibited during her career. Scholarships are awarded to up to two postgraduate students who are currently enrolled in either a professional masters program or a post certification program.
To be considered for one of the $750 scholarships all students must be enrolled in a school in Georgia. All applicants must plan to pursue a career in athletic training as their primary career goal.
The application is submitted online. Transcripts should be emailed directly to the Awards & Honors committee at Awards@athletictraining.org. A Sponsor's recommendation is part of the scholarship application and can be completed by sending this link to your sponsoring athletic trainer.
One letter of recommendation from another certified athletic trainer other than the Sponsor must be submitted to the Honors & Awards Committee by sending this link to your recommending athletic trainer and also your sponsoring athletic trainer: https://bit.ly/LMG-Rec .
All application materials (including application, transcript, sponsor’s recommendation and additional athletic trainer’s recommendation) must be submitted by March 18th, 2022 for consideration. Official transcripts are preferred, but unofficial transcripts are acceptable if necessary to make the deadline.
All awards are presented at the Honors & Awards Luncheon at the annual meeting of the GATA.
